When we install, service or remotely monitor a CCTV system, the footage belongs to the system owner. We only access footage when you ask us to, for example for support, maintenance or an agreed monitoring service. System owners are responsible for using CCTV in line with the Privacy Act and the Privacy Commissioner's CCTV guidance.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
